Dear Troop 145 Website Users: Google plans to begin phasing out support of certain older web browsers on March 1, 2010. Google will continue to support Internet Explorer 7.0 and above, Firefox 3.0 and above, Google Chrome 4.0 and above, and Safari 3.0 and above. Starting next week, users on these older browsers will see a message in Google Docs and the Google Sites editor explaining this change and asking them to upgrade their browser. After March 1st, certain functionality within these applications may have higher latency and may not work correctly in these older browsers. Later in 2010, Google will start to phase out Google Mail and Google Calendar support for these older browsers. This
will likely only affect a few of our website users, but we wanted everyone to be aware of the change. This
announcement is directly form Google, so neither Jeff or I have any
control. I you have any questions or concerns, don't fret to respond.
Yours in Scouting, “The Webmaster” (Alex Gray) webmaster@bsatroop145roundrock.org “The Special Assistant Manager to the Webmaster” (Jeff Krech) jeffrey_krech@bsatroop145roundrock.org |
