Troop 145 Special Operations 2010

Welcome to Troop 145's Special Operations Event Information page! Here's the skinny on this year's fun filled weekend.  This is one of our "Meet the Troop" recruiting events. It is a great way for Webelos to engage with our Troop, learn some Scouting skills and have a lot of fun.

This year's will be held the weekend of September 17-19 at Lost Pines Scout Reservation (LPSR) near Bastrop. Activities include tower climbing, archery and participating in a series of special night missions which utilize various scout-related skills. And, who knows, participants might just have to evade a few "enemy operatives!"

The itinerary for Webelos goes something like this. Check back a week before the event to see the final itinerary.

Saturday, 09/18/2010:

  • 8:45 AM -- Arrive at LPSR (look for our signs)
  • 9:00 AM -- Flag Ceremony followed by skills stations, climbing and archery
  • 11:30 AM -- Lunch (bring your own meal)
  • 1:00 PM -- More skills and climbing
  • 4:00 PM -- Free time and set up camp if you are camping overnight, then dinner with Troop 145
    • Please indicate whether you will be eating our meal of hot dogs and fixin's when you sign up; if you have special needs, please bring your own meal).
    • You are welcome to camp with T145 on Saturday night. Please indicate whether you will be camping with us when you sign up.
  • 7:00 PM -- Special Operations Night Mission
  • 9:30 PM -- Debriefing, then return to your campsite or depart for home
  • 10:30 PM -- Lights Out!
Sunday, 09/19/2010:
  • 7:00 AM -- Breakfast (bring your own meal), breakdown camp and free time
  • 10:30 AM -- Worship Service, then depart for home
