All scouts and their family members and friends are invited to join us for this day of fun and excitement! Troop 145 will soon be enjoying a daylong trip to Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels on Monday, June, 27, 2011. We'll leave from the church about 8:00 am and plan to arrive back home about 9:00 pm, so this all-day event will be replacing our scout meeting that day. Schlitterbahn Waterpark, a family-owned, family-friendly park, offers FREE parking, FREE tubes, FREE lifejackets, and allows you to “Bring Your Own Picnic and Drinks” (no glass or alcohol please). The New Braunfels waterpark features over 3 miles of tubing adventures, 7 children’s water playgrounds,17 water slides, the world’s first surfing machine, and 3 uphill water coasters spread over 65 acres of fun! Schlitterbahn’s hours on Monday, June 27, 2011 are 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The cost will be $38 / person if we get 20 people and will be reduced to just $36 / person if we pay 7 days in advance (which will be by Monday, June 20th). If we don't get group rates, it will be $62 each! As usual, the troop will carpool to and from the event, so everyone needs to remember to bring $5 for their driver to help off-set the high cost of transportation. We really appreciate all the adults who are willing to attend the event and to drive to provide our scouts with transportation! Everyone needs to let us know whether they plan to attend by this Saturday, June 18th! You will need to pay Treasurer Brenda Ramirez or Assistant Treasurer Janifer Wheeler by the troop meeting Monday, June 20th. Thanks for your patience with this short notice and turnaround.
